MacKillop College has a proud history of quality teaching and learning. A culture of high expectations enables the students to thrive in an environment where they are encouraged and supported to reach their potential. Outstanding academic results have been a constant over many years. These include above average HSC results, first place in subjects in the Diocese, top ten rankings in the State and nominations for OnStage, InTech, Encore, Callback and Shape. In order to achieve these results, the students are guided and supported by a very professional and dedicated staff.

Many of these teachers have HSC marking experience and have certificates of recognition from the Diocese and The Australian College of Educators for excellence in education. Whilst being highly competent and proficient in their teaching is so important, the staff at MacKillop are equally focused on developing positive and caring relationships with their students, having compassion for individual circumstances, adjusting to individual needs and respecting the dignity of each child.
