Code of Presentation - Uniform

COLLEGE CODE OF PRESENTATION

Code of Presentation is a “Door to Door” policy.  Students are required to wear the appropriate school uniform correctly from the time of departure from home each morning through until arrival home at the end of the day. Outside of school hours, students should either remain in their full uniform or out of it completely.

 

YEAR 7 TO 10 - CODE OF PRESENTATION

GIRLS’ SUMMER UNIFORM: Terms 1 & 4

Double pleated skirt to the knee, short or long sleeve blouse with school crest, plain mid calf white socks (not anklet socks). Undershirts or singlets must not be visible and logo free.

 

GIRLS’ WINTER UNIFORM: Terms 2 & 3

Double pleated skirt to the knee, short or long sleeve blouse with school crest with school tie, black woollen jumper with school crest or black school blazer. Plain black scarves only to be worn with a jumper or blazer.

 

GIRLS’ SPORT:

Plain black medium length school shorts with SAPSS logo, aqua school sports shirt, and school sport socks with SAPSS logo, lace up sport shoes, school tracksuit (optional).

Sport shoes must be lace up jogger or cross trainer style suitable for running. Canvas shoes, gym boots and other casual footwear are not permitted.

 

BOYS’ SUMMER:

Uniform grey shorts, Midford Shorts Style 155M Colour 63 Grey to be worn on the waist with a plain leather black belt, white short sleeve style shirt with School logo and button up collar, grey school socks pulled out of shoes with aqua and white bands. Shirt is to be tucked in at all times. Undershirts or singlets must not be visible or logo free.

 

BOYS’ WINTER:

Short or long sleeve white Midford style shirt with button-up collar, school tie, shorts (as prescribed above) OR uniform long grey trousers (Midford Shorts or Trousers Style 155M Colour 63 Grey) to be worn on the waist with a plain leather black belt, black woollen jumper with school crest, black school blazer (optional). Shirt is to be tucked in at all times. Plain black scarves only to be worn with a jumper or blazer.

 

BOYS’ SPORT:

Plain black medium length school shorts with SAPSS logo, aqua school sports shirt, and school sport socks with SAPSS logo, lace up sport shoes, school tracksuit (optional).

Sport shoes must be lace up jogger or cross trainer style suitable for running. Canvas shoes, gym boots and other casual footwear are not permitted.

Students unable to wear full and correct sports uniform must arrive to school in the correct seasonal alternative and get changed into the hybrid sports uniform at school.

 

SHOES:

Plain black polishable lace-up leather shoes (no high tops, boots or ripple soles, skate type shoes or logos. No buckle or open top shoes).

 

HATS and CAPS:

Hats are to be worn by all students during both recess and lunch unless they are under a man-made shelter or in the shade of trees. If the students move out of the shade they must put on a hat.  Students will bring their hat into PC for checking each morning.  Any student without their hat and without an explanatory note will be required to attend a uniform detention.

 

HAIR:

We expect that the hair styles of both boys and girls should be neat and tidy in appearance and should not be of an extreme type that will draw attention to themselves. Moderation in appearance is required. Hair should be clean, well-groomed and neat. Boys’ and girls’ long hair should be tied up if it is shoulder length or longer. All hair accessories must be in school colours.

 

Students (boys and girls) should not use dye or blonding compounds in their hair, except for natural highlights that are natural to the individual students own hair colour. Hair should be cut in such a way that it does not hang over the students face. The Principal reserves the right to exclude students who disregard these requirements.

Boys must be clean shaven at all times.

 

JEWELLERY:

Girls may wear a small single pair of studs or sleepers (no larger than a 5 cent piece) on the lower lobe. Boys and girls, no ear cuffs, rings, bracelets or neck chains. No other form of body piercing is permitted.

 

MAKE UP:

Make up and nail polish are not permitted.

 

TATTOOS:

Tattoos are strongly discouraged and should not be visible whilst wearing the school uniform or representing the school.

 

YEAR 11 and 12 - CODE OF PRESENTATION

GIRLS

•   A box-pleated skirt to the knee in colours of black, grey and gold checks

•   Over-blouse with embroidered crest available from Joprim

•   Plain white socks or stockings (black or flesh coloured). No sockettes to be worn

•   Long pants purchased from Joprim are optional in terms 2 and 3.

•   Hair – hair decoration minimal – black, gold or blue ribbons, no flowers – no dreadlocks, no shaved heads, extreme styles or unnatural colours. Long hair should be clean, tidy and off the face.

•   Jewellery should not detract from the school uniform – sleepers or studs – maximum of two in each ear, one bangle or watch on each arm, two finger rings, plain fine silver or gold necklace – NO FACIAL PIERCINGS.

 

BOYS

•   A white Midford shirt with embroidered pocket and button up collar. Shirt tucked in at all times.

•   Midford shorts or long grey trousers are to be worn with a plain black belt.

•   Long grey school socks with aqua and white band. No sockettes to be worn.

•   Hair - no dreadlocks, no shaved heads, extreme styles or unnatural colours. Long hair should be clean, tidy and off the face.

•   Boys must be clean shaven.

•   Jewellery should not detract from the school uniform – one ear piercing – stud or sleeper only, one finger ring on each hand, watch or bangle only, plain  fine silver or gold necklace – NO FACIAL PIERCING.

 

GIRLS’ SPORT:

Plain black medium length school shorts with SAPSS logo, aqua school sports shirt, and school sport socks with SAPSS logo, lace up sport shoes, school tracksuit (optional).

Plain black medium length school shorts with SAPSS logo, aqua school sports shirt, and school sport socks with SAPSS logo, lace up sport shoes, school tracksuit (optional).

COMMON UNIFORM ITEMS

SHOES:  Plain, black, polishable lace-up leather school shoes (no high tops, sport shoes, boots or ripple soles, skate type shoes or logos).

TIE:  School tie in terms 2 and 3.  Top button done up, tie covering top button.

JUMPER: Black v-neck jumper with embroidered logo / lettering.  School blazer is optional.

SCARVES:  Plain black scarves are permissible in terms 2 and 3 if worn with a jumper. UNDERGARMENTS: Any undergarment must be plain, white, tucked into the skirt / pants and not visible outside the uniform.

TATTOOS: Tattoos are strongly discouraged and should not be visible whilst wearing the school uniform or representing the school.

 

OUT OF UNIFORM CODE

Parents and students are reminded that all clothing worn on these days must be appropriate. If a student arrives at college on one of these days in clothing deemed to be inappropriate, parents may be contacted and asked to collect the students in order to rectify the matter.

It is inappropriate for brief and revealing clothing to be worn to college. This includes low-cut, strapless, shoe string strap, backless or mid-riff tops, mini-skirts and brief shorts. Parents are also asked to consider the appropriateness of all writing and graphics on T-shirts.

Due to Work Health & Safety regulations, sandals, thongs and other similar footwear may not be worn. All students must wear either joggers or some other kind of enclosed footwear.

Long hair must be tied back from the face.

Boys must be clean shaven at all times.
